SERENATA 3, Punta Mita, Mexico

BEST FOR
Families and golf-minded groups — up to ten, or eight adults — who want a freestanding villa inside the Punta Mita gates with a heated pool and jacuzzi on the fairway.

THE RESIDENCE
La Serenata is a small enclave of just six freestanding villas set along the 7th fairway of the Jack Nicklaus Signature course, with views across Banderas Bay. Serenata 3 stands alone on a large individual lot, which is what makes it feel private rather than communal. At its center is a heated pool and jacuzzi, with golf-course views running throughout the villa. The kitchen and master bathroom have been newly remodeled, and the villa is decorated with a contemporary Mexican hand — every bedroom beautifully appointed, with fine linens and its own en-suite bathroom. Four bedrooms sleep up to ten.

THE DAY
This is a villa that rewards staying in. Breakfast on the terrace with the fairway waking up in front of you; the heated pool and jacuzzi in the middle of the day, which means the water is good in the cooler months too. Golfers walk out to the 7th; everyone else takes the cart to a beach club. Long lunches outside, and dinners that run late because nobody wants to leave the terrace.

THE SETTING
La Serenata sits inside the gates of the Punta Mita master plan on the Riviera Nayarit coast — the private peninsula home to the Four Seasons and St. Regis, two Nicklaus courses and a series of members-only beach clubs. Banderas Bay is in view from the villa; humpbacks pass through it in winter.

GOOD TO KNOW
High-speed internet throughout, at 150 Mbps or better — genuinely enough to work from. A 15% discount applies to stays of fourteen nights or longer. Maximum eight adults, or six adults plus four children under 17. Luxuriant's concierge is close by for transfers, provisioning, chefs and bookings.
